ASM Team at the Algarve Historic Festival

Last weekend it was held at the Circuito Internacional do Algarve the Algarve Historic Festival.

ASM Team was present with the Lotus Elan 26R driven by Miguel Moreno and Carlos Peres, entering as guests in “Stirling Moss Trophy”, consisting of a 2 hours race with a sunset ending.

It was also the debut of a new engine prepared directly by ASM Team that proved powerful and reliable, having made more than 4 hours on the track without any problem.

“The duration of the race was a test the quality of preparation of the engine and the car,” said Antonio Simões, Director of the ASM team.

“It was a challenge to do a long run and finish in the dark but we had a blast racing with those other fantastic cars,” said Carlos Peres.

“The grip of the track was very low due to much oil and fuel spilled by all the classic cars that ran during the day but I really enjoyed it and I hope to return next year,” the words of Miguel Moreno.

Preceding the race, there was a test session in which the Lotus Elan and Ford RS1600 Escord ASM participated, the second driven by Armando Paes.

The next historical event in which ASM will participate will be held at the Ascari circuit, on 12th-13th of November, included in the Iberian Gentleman Drivers.
