ASM Team have signed with driver Pedro Lamy for the 24H Spa, completing the drivers line-up with Karim Ojjeh, Ricardo Bravo and António Coimbra in the classic Belgium endurance race.

After a test in Estoril circuit last May, where Predro Lamy had the possibility to test the McLaren GT3 for the first time, it was possible to reach a good deal for both parties.

Pedro Lamy, considered one of the best drivers in the world of endurance racing and winner of the 24H Spa in 2003, will be a solid contribution to the team, helping to find the best set-up solutions in the car and being a reference for the remaining drivers.

“I’m very pleased to have reached a deal with Pedro for Spa. Pedro is a national and international reference in endurance races and I have no doubts that he is the best solution we could expect to improve even more the team and help the other drivers in a race where experience counts. After six years of consecutive 24H Le Mans participations this is a new challenge for ASM, where we can take advantage of our vast experience in long distance races.” refers António Simões, owner of the Portuguese racing team.

The 24H Spa race will take place on the 28th and 29th of July, with the start at 16h local time (15h in Portugal) e will have 75 cars at the start.
